README Tracking study 2009.01.CDC_FDC_geom 1/18/2009 David Lawrence This directory contains files relevant to a study of the CDC length and correspondingly, FDC package positions done in Jan. 2009. These studies turn off the Lorentz deflections, diffusion effects, and angle effects for the FDC built-into the main trunk. The following geometries will be studied: geomC: CDC length 150cm geomJ: CDC length 125cm geomK: CDC length 100cm geomL: CDC length 175cm The following values must be changed in the XML in order to change the length of the CDC to Lcdc. Note that this will keep the upstream end of the CDC fixed at L=17cm in the lab system. Also, it is assumed that the FDC package spacing will be adjusted so that the downstream end stays fixed at z=190.0+83.5+76+4.5+3 = 357cm in the lab frame.
