20050914 I discussed with Chris a procedure how to deal with truncated runs. Case 1) If run was not advertised in ESDB we will follow ESFixTruncatedRun which create a new view 'truncated' and swap 'all' view to 'all-problem' and 'truncated' to 'all'. Case 2) If run was advertised in ESDB and then decided to be truncated. In this case we need to create a new graphid following the steps: - Run ESVesionManager -badRunList bad.list -time where bad.list contains a list of runs which need to be truncated - MANUALLY: - create new dataVersionName and svid - create new graphid<->svid in GraphPath (e.g. graphid=gid2) - create new graphid->NULL in PathDepend - create new entry in Version table - copy in Location table gid1 run uid locId1 gid2 run uid locId1 - copy in KeyFile table gid1 all run uid keyFileId1 gid2 all run uid keyFileId1 - run ESFixTruncatedRun EventStore daq which will go and find out recent timeStamp for daq grade and create a new view 'truncated' and swap 'all' view to 'all-problem' and 'truncated' to 'all'. Doing all this steps I'll have the following layout in ESDB: Version table ------------- daq time1 run01 runNN gid1 daq time2 run01 run11 gid1 daq time2 run12 run12 gid2 daq rime2 run13 runNN gid1 KeyFile table ------------- gid1 all run12 uid keyFileId1 gid2 all run12 uid keyFileId2 gid2 all-problem run12 uid keyFileId1 Location table -------------- gid1 run12 locationId1 gid2 run12 locationId1
